Will Chavez get his ten year rule?

Venezuelans begin voting on Chavez’s bid to stay in power By TYLER BRIDGES McClatchy Newspapers Venezuelans began flocking to vote Sunday morning in a national referendum that will decide whether President Hugo Chavez will have the right to run for re-election in 2012 and beyond.

Venezuelans are being asked to vote “si” or “no” to scrapping term limits for Chavez and all elected officials, and their decision will help determine whether Chavez will have the additional 10 years in power he says he needs to carry out his plans for what he calls “21st century socialism.”
Chavez, who’s already served 10 years as president, held a slim lead in pre-election public opinion polls. Election officials are expected to report the result late Sunday night.

The outcome of the referendum also may help to determine whether the populist Venezuelan leader, who’s allied with Cuba, leads a small bloc of like-minded Latin leftists and has pursued closer ties with Russia and Iran, will remain a thorn in the U.S. side or whether his “Bolivarian Revolution,”  now hammered by plunging oil prices, is becoming a spent force.

Tight Vote Expected in Venezuela on Lifting Term Limits

CARACAS, Venezuela — Awaking to the sound of fireworks in this city’s slums, Venezuelans began voting Sunday on a referendum on lifting term limits for President Hugo Chávez and other elected officials. The election could open the way for Mr. Chávez to hold onto power well beyond the end of his current term in 2013.

I decided to ask the question:

Will Chavez be able to pass his referendum which asks that he be able to be allowed 10 years to pursue his revolutionary agenda?

Lilly always said that when asking questions of people we do not know, we should use the 1st house (Christian Astrology page 152). This is very controversial, amongst astrologers, because so many of them come from a modern background, so there is sort of a knee jerk reaction to use the 7th house, because they think we use the first, because by asking a question, we are taking action. However, they do not realize that the reason that Lilly recommended using the first, is a diagnostic one, based upon medical astrology.

You see, in Lilly’s day, doctors were all astrologers. When they were asked for help, just as today, they asked for a urine sample. When the ancient doctors/physicians received the sample, they made note of the time, and drew a chart based upon that exact moment. The chart acted as a diagnostic tool, to find out what part of the body was injured. They used the first house to represent the head, and the 2nd to represent the neck, the 3rd, the shoulders, arms and hands, and so on. This is why, when we ask about those we do not know, Lilly recommended to use the 1st house, because then we can see how the person, what he looks like, and then we can see what he is going to do.

Looking at the chart, we see that the chart well describes President Chavez, because 26 degrees of Cancer rise on the horizon. Cancer is the sign of the Moon. And indeed, this fits, because if you think about it, from certain positions, Chavez has such a round face, he looks like the man in the Moon, himself! In addition, Chavez sees himself as a man of the people, a helper to the little guy.  Since the Moon represents the people in mundane charts, this is descriptive and thus, what we call radical and fit to be judged.

In this chart the Moon is in one of her worst signs for performance, in Scorpio. To say that this is trouble, is an understatement. The Moon represents the female principle. And death, we can see why the ancients felt this was just about the worst place the Moon can be.  On the face of it, Moon in Scorpio does not look good. In fact, I don’t think Chavez has a lot of confidence in getting this 10 year referendum through because when the significator is fallen, there is little confidence that things will go our way.

The Moon is in a hard aspect (Square or 90 degree) to  planets in the 7th house. This means there is a lot of opposition to his referendum. Looking carefully, at the planets in the 7th, we see that the Moon has already separated from the square to planets tenanting the 7th house. When planets have separated from one another, it is symbolic of past issues. In other words, this gives the idea of his opposition, melting away. And more importantly, the main ruler of his of his opposition, 7th, is Saturn.

Placed in the 3rd house, his has his opposition in the palm of his hand. They are on his side of the chart. This is a good sign. In addition, Saturn is retrograde at 19 Virgo in the 3rd house. Meanwhile, the Chavez, the Moon is at 16 Scorpio. Because Saturn is retrograde, it is going backwards, and making an unusual aspect, in that both the moon and Saturn are applying to one another simultaneously, by sextile (60 degree). Lilly said that when planets mutually aspected each other, things happened quickly and almost amazingly so. And indeed, Chavez will get his rule. However, no aspect from Saturn is without its toll, especially to a less ponderous one.

Even though the vote will go his way, Chavez will not get his way, because when we look to the 11th house of hopes and wishes, we see that the ruler is Venus, who is placed in Aries, is very, very weak. So for some reason we do not yet know, Chavez, may have the referendum go his way, but at the same time, he will not get his wish.

Also, notice, the Moon, which is in a deadly sign, is actively applying to planets in the deadly 8th house. Stay tune.
